My son talked to legal today...he was also told they would be close until he got into legal....it was a false piece of information per legal.

Lots of support ladies....these children are "shell-shocked" just as we are and they are in area with just as many rules and if they can't be Sailors, they just want to be home.

Good luck to each of you!  Read as much as you can so you can give your child the correct information they need to get through this.

My son just got moved to SEPS on Fri. He told me he could have books, I sent him a book when he was in FIT, but his mail has not been brought to him from Ship 04. How often do they get to call home? I received a phone call on Sunday, it was to let me know he was in SEPS. Can someone tell me if the address above is the mailing address?

My son has been in SEPS for a week now & hasn't seen legal yet. He just called today and told me that legal will be closed for the next week, so it's going to be another week before he even starts that process. Guess we're looking at another 2wks at least before he's sent home. I know we can write letters (which we have been), but can we send them anything else? Just curious if while he's there doing absolutely nothing but wreaking havoc on his mental state, he could read a book or magazine if it was sent to him?

Got my son home on Tuesday...he's resumed his old ways, doesn't seem to be affected by his 2 weeks in SEPS. For those of you still waiting, hang in there!!!

I know exactly how you feel Annette. My son has been in Seps since July 9, but is coming home tomorrow. I hope your son gets to head home soon!!

Annette- hang in there.  It's awful for us to deal with what we think they are going through, but they are tougher than we give them credit for.  Just be there when you can & listen, listen, listen.

Annette, my heart goes out to you, i hope your son gets on the list to go home this week.  My son spent 16 days in SEPS and it was the worst waiting for him to be released.  Although he learned a great deal of strength and courage in SEPS he would have rather been with his division continuing his time with the Navy.  Now thay he has been out he is very motivated to finish his college education with the dream of going back in as an officer.  His goals are even higher than before so for that I am happy for his future.  Good luck with your sons return. Patience is truely a virtue.

My son has been in SEPS since July 2.....I am in total disbelief of this whole ordeal. I can NOT believe that a young man who has been in Civil Air Patrol  and other organizations has had his whole lifes dream crushed. And to make it worse, he is left waiting to come home for days and days.

Got a call yesterday....he's coming home Tuesday!!
