My daughter went though the "crazy" stage. I mailed her some books and she bought another phone card. Once she was home, we realized it was not as bad as she made it seem.

Thanks for sharing Becky - the girls in Mollie's SEPs unit signed a shirt for her. They are keeping in contact by Facebook and she plans to visit some of them that don't live too far away.

right I know that feeling. My daughter is is in TX at Sheppard doing her A-school, she had some problems during BC. Got a bad infection then a jaw problem cropped up on her. She was ASMO'd to ship 6 where they did minor surgery for this infection, and had her seeing dental for her jaw, she was at the same time having issues with her run. This due to infection and being sick. She was and is a fighter, she would never even discuss being separated. She is from the same bloodline and they are complete opposites. Use to fight all the time. Now today she is crying for her brother who is older than she is, and that warms my heart in a odd way. She wants him to fight it. He is just like I saw the tests I know whats going on. I am ok with what he is ok with. I support him, I think he will go to school in New Jersey. He always wanted to do underwater welding, was actually in the process of getting his loan for this when his sister and I talked to him about the Navy. He is a welder had a great job and was making very good money. So this is something I think he will look back into. He had dreams of doing the Diving program in the Navy and this was a very real option at the MEPS level.
I do not know what happened in 9 mos to make this hearing an issue. I just know I love my kiddo and will be by his side for however long it takes.

Tobianne - I wish all the best for him! I know this is a very hard time. My son just came home on Tuesday and is trying to get readjusted. He does have the option to go back but is not sure what he wants to do. I just need to be patient and give him the time to figure it all out. It is disheartening though as a parent to know how hard they worked and how close they were and then for it to be taken away. God Bless you and your family!

Well however he gets here it is just import to know he does so safely. I am so worried but I also know my kids are fighters and will not sink down. He is gonna be touchy for a while, but thats why momma is here. I can tell him just how proud he has made us. He is being separated for a hearing issue. Meps said his hearing was fine and he could do Spec Ops. Well ya know this is just the starting point of going military and people do make mistakes.
He will move forward and at 20 he has his hole life ahead of him.

Thanks my daughter is in A-school and she said she thinks he will get a train ticket. I have been sort of watching and reading your situation as I think you were moved to the PIR date my son had. He is a mess, but holding up well. He is not going to fight this, the doctors did so much to try to find a way to keep him. I think he wants to put it behind him once home a work on moving forward said he may go to school. He has a baby coming in Feb. I think God has made this move for him.

tobian i jus got home yesterday. he should do legal tomorrow or monday and its usually a week from legal when they leave. he wont find out till the day before or day when he leaves but usually plane as long as he has his id. some are by bus or train. which is better cost for the navy thats the way theyll come home.

Tobianne - It depends. I hate to say that but my son had been moved and at first told he would be coming by bus or train but then they handed him an airplane ticket. I think if you live far enough they will fly him. I know this is a trying time. I have been there. My son just came home Tuesday.

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows how the recruits are being sent home. My son was moved to Seps yesterday and did his indoc today. I spoke with him but I did not ask that.
