Hi Julie, just wanted to comment that we are neighbors.  We live in Lancaster, SC. Also close to Clover...LisaP.  We have two sons in Navy, and both stationed in Virginia.  One in Norfolk and the other in Little Creek.

Hi all SC moms! It's been awhile since my last visit and it looks like we have lots of new moms/sailors. I hate I missed the cookie give all though I had my sailor home for Christmas we were sadden that so many didn't get to go home to their families. Our home was opened to many but they elected to stay on base. We did have many of them with us on Thanksgiving and they all enjoyed shopping with me on Black Friday.
My daughter is in Power School and graduates May 3. I realized today that I have never seen her in her dress blues. I'm changing that here real soon. By the way we are from Clover in York Co.

We are from Fort Mill SC. My sailor is in Pensacola, CTR. Would love to get with others too just to share and support.

I've not been online in awhile, so it's so nice to see so much activity!  I'm sorry I missed the cookie 'drive'.  I would have loved to have helped.

Lance's mom...I'm from the upstate also.  Spartanburg County, but we are almost on the county line of Greenville; my kids go to Greenville County schools.

My son is a greenside corpsman stationed in Okinawa, Japan.  He will not be home for Christmas this year, so it will be just a little lonely at home, but I'll survive.

Sheryl, you will love this state.  My husband was Air Force so we lived up north for a long time, but this is home.

Have a wonderful Christmas if I don't make it back again before then!

sheryl....we are about 2 1/2 hours from Beaufort I think. I will have to look it up. When you get to town let me know and we will have to get together. :) That would be fun. Is your one that is in the Naples at the hospital clinic ok? Where are you moving here from? I have only been in SC for alittle over a year and I LOVE it. the people are super sweet and the sights are beautiful. We will have to pick somewhere nice and go to lunch or something :) Good luck with the move! Let me know if you need anything, not sure what I can do but Im always willing to help if I can :)

kellyd....that still isnt too far, like an hour or so I think. I wanted to see if anyone was close enough to maybe go to lunch or dinner every month or every other month. Id be willing to drive up there or meet ya 1/2 way. If we can get some others who wanna meet too that would be great :) Now that Im phasing from the mom of a boot camp recruit to the mom of a sailor it would be nice to meet others. :) Let me know what ya think.
