Space A Travel Eligibility
Ok, this is a very important link and I hope it stays valid if I forget to update it. Just so everybody knows, legal dependents are now allowed to travel Space A while their military sponsor is on deployment orders. If you don't know what this is it is very simple. You can fly at little cost almost anywhere in the world on a government aircraft. You sign up on a list and wait for your number to be called. So, if your sailor is deployed to say, Japan, you can jump on a Space A flight to Japan for say 30 dollars. I don't know the exact amount, but it is cheap. Take a look at this, Google Space A travel, you will get all the answers you need. If you have more questions, ask.

Has anyone on this forum been through school/deployments as a spouse? I'm new to this and was wondering if anyone had any insight - my husband is in A school for Rescue swimmer and I wanted to see if anyone knew about sea/shore duty - and when they have sea duty when do you see them?

Yeah,
Your military spouses training has to be a certain length. I don't know the exact amount of time but there is a minimum. It will say on his orders from basic to A-school if he is able to bring dependents or not. Also, have your husband ask if you are unsure. I know that some ratings have a really long A-school so it is possible that he may have command sponsorship. If that is the case then you are going to get moving money from the Navy.

Krystal that is a great question... I heard the same thing so we were planning everything out of pocket. I think they only move u when they get stationed, not for the training :/ which really sucks but if anyone knows otherwise please let us know!

Alright i have a very important question for whoever has a husband that has A schooling P-cola. Well, I was told that the navy people are not gunna pay for me and our daughter to go down there to live with him, Even though its going to be over 6 months. Did they pay for any of you to go down there?
