Hey ladies, my husband is in pensacola Fl, for a school and I plan on moving down and possibly doing a long term hotel for a month and then on Christmas break have when we go home to drive all my stuff down and get an apartment so I guess what im trying to ask is,
1. Is there any long term hotels you would recommend or short term apartments?
2. How long is Christmas break
3. What apartments do youg guys recommend?
Thank you for all your help so far everyone has been a huge help through all of this!
Hi there! I'm planning to move to Pensacola while my husband is attending his A school.
As I'm not moving all my stuff there, I'm planning to rent a furnished apartment (short term lease) for 3 months or so.
Do you recommend any condo in the area?
Any help would be great!
Thanks, Dany.
Also, Lyndsi- when I was there I lived in Austinwood. VERY close to base and pretty nice. It is a little expensive-but BAH should cover it just fine. I always felt very safe there-some areas of Pensacola are quite run down..
My husband says the only rate that would be in Pensacola for the Navy to possibly pay for a move is the ATI rate. In my experience, the navy did not pay for me to move, but I payed for myself to move down and we got BAH :)
No, the Navy will not pay for your move to Pensacola. You have to be there a lot longer for them to pay for it.
Christine - Did the military pay to move you to Pensacola? My husband is suppose to graduate from basic in August. I am hoping to move to Pensacola :).
A new group to try and help out those of you who live or plan on moving to pensacola while your sailor is in A school .. Feel free to share experiences or just ask questions .. Thanx
