Space A Travel Eligibility
Ok, this is a very important link and I hope it stays valid if I forget to update it. Just so everybody knows, legal dependents are now allowed to travel Space A while their military sponsor is on deployment orders. If you don't know what this is it is very simple. You can fly at little cost almost anywhere in the world on a government aircraft. You sign up on a list and wait for your number to be called. So, if your sailor is deployed to say, Japan, you can jump on a Space A flight to Japan for say 30 dollars. I don't know the exact amount, but it is cheap. Take a look at this, Google Space A travel, you will get all the answers you need. If you have more questions, ask.

navywife,
anything you find comfortable. I was goig to wear a suit to my wife's PIR but didn't want to overdress. There are folks in suits and folks in jeans and t-shirts! Just remember, go early, as early as the gates open because the bleechers fill up fast and sit up against the wall on the top of the bleechers. You will be able to sit back and rest your back! We got there around 6.30 and sat around for a couple of hours waiting. If you are bringing kids you may want to be sure your PDA is charged so they can keep occupied. Also, you can get coffee and soda in the concession stand put on by the MWR. If you want coffee go down there early because they ran out right as I was getting to the end of the line!!

just tell him. honesty is the best medicine. if he doesn't know then he won't know how you feel and that could also start a fight.

thanks for the info on BB status. I am back down here and will tell my wife to start the paperwork. She doesn't want to live in the barracks any longer than needed. I don't blame her. I spent time in the barracks in Germany and it got old real fast!

advice, you hubby needs to sit his mom down and tell her how it is. If you guys have kids together it is you who is more important in his life.
I had a problem with this in a previous relationship and it ended because my ex was unwilling even after counseling to deal with her family and tell them to knock off the child play and bull! Hate to be blunt about it but that was the advice from a counselor and I think it is the right advice. It isn't your place to tell your hubbies family where they should stand. Either they are with you as a couple or against you. There can't be any middle ground. You are an important part of his life and his happiness is your happiness and vice versa.
You can also be as nice as humanly possible to her and if that doesn't work than you know it isn't your fault and that you have done what you can.

Take it from me, this is the only way to satisfy everybody. This way you are not saying things to people that you don't want to offend any more than you need to and you don't want to give them any ammunition to not like you.

Good luck.

To Gman Navy Husband, no it is not always windy in pensacola! I have lived in Biloxi, MS my whole life and have been to pensacola a lot on the weekends and over the summer growing up! The weather around this area has been very fickle lately, one day it is windy and slightly chilly outside and the next it's warm with no wind! Once full on summer hits you'll be wishing for a little breeze haha!! It is very nice over the summer!!
