Here is a link that you will need to check out. It is a FAQ about PCS moves and what $$'s are available.

Space A Travel Eligibility
Ok, this is a very important link and I hope it stays valid if I forget to update it. Just so everybody knows, legal dependents are now allowed to travel Space A while their military sponsor is on deployment orders. If you don't know what this is it is very simple. You can fly at little cost almost anywhere in the world on a government aircraft. You sign up on a list and wait for your number to be called. So, if your sailor is deployed to say, Japan, you can jump on a Space A flight to Japan for say 30 dollars. I don't know the exact amount, but it is cheap. Take a look at this, Google Space A travel, you will get all the answers you need. If you have more questions, ask.

No. I've never heard of that. Sounds like he has a tough schedule. What is he training to be?

My boyfriend had his first day of class yesterday. He is on the Brava schedule and didn't get back to the barracks til 11:45pm. When he called me (12:45am my time) he said their instructor wasn't going to allow them take longer classes Monday-Thursday to get out early. He said his instructor is serious, but is helpful. When we got off the phone he said he had 2 hours worth of homework/studying. I'm a teacher, so we are going to have to rely on morning talks, I guess. :\ Anyone else ever have someone on the Brava schedule?

Navywifeapril- My hubby is in the process of trying to get brown bagger...email me the names of the apartments ur interested in and Ill be able to tell you a little about them, some places have pics of them online that make them seem great when in reality they are trashy. Its really difficult when you cant actually go see them, I know LOL

Yah that's the best way to go. that way its easy to pick up and drop off your husband to base. and also my husband told me today that he apparently didn't get the memo until now but I guess married men can get special liberty to stay with their wife during the weekend. So you should tell your husband to look into that.

Yeah I have been looking at apartments online.  I am off tmrw so I plan on calling around and see what kind of rates they have.  I want to be in Pensacola asap.  It is hard being away from my husband!  I am really interested in 3 apartments right now b/c they are right by NAS.

Yah it is not worth being away from your husband for so long. I moved on my own dime but it is so worth it and as long as your hubby is in phase 2 you can see him basically everyday. My husband just put in his request for his brown baggers. I wonder if theres anything else he should do to help it along any. Well, hopefully we will find out if it got approved or not soon.  NavyWifeApril- tell your hubby to work his butt off to get to phase 2 otherwise you can only see him on the weekends. its not hard to get but he has to work for it. My husband got his in a week and a half. Call around Apartments and they will work with you. I moved al the way from California so I just called around. They emailed me the applications and I faxed them back and they told me if I was approved or not. It's a process but so worth that.
