oops Sharla!!! yup chock it up to lessons learned
That's too bad Sharla! They do a lot of growing up! I think everyone has a Sailor that has experienced something of the same.... My son married another STG and they are discovering new issues everyday!
Ducking in here....don't think I've been back since my daughter PIR'd. She's in San Diego now, it's been 2 1/2 weeks, she's on hold to class up. Was supposed to Phase up this week I think but got in trouble for having a phone in her pocket. She forgot it was there and entered a no-phones area and got ripped a new one and phase up privileges revoked for 30 days. :( So she stays a phase 1 and is really down about it while her friends are phasing up. It's a hard lesson learned though, she has to realize it's not high school or even college, even though right now on hold it may feel like it with so much free time and this base being pretty lax. She has to realize her job involves responsibility and security and she can't make careless mistakes. Sad for her though.
OMG how cool is that!!!!
Barbydahlzz, we actually watched your son's ship pull into port on friday...and yes, Coronado is something else...also the Navy Lodge is top notch...looking forward to going back there in a few months..
GMA sounds like you had an awesome visit... yes, it is expensive eesh, My sons ship just pulled into port friday afternoon from a few days underway for training... Isn't Coronado gorgeous? went to the beach outside the navy lodge while we were there visiting..
Hi everyone...just got back from San Diego where we were able to visit our Sailor in the evening after his "C" school class....It is very interesting to see all the young men and women at this small base keeping very busy and learning all about their new job....we were lucky enough to stay at the Navy Lodge on Coronado "what a beautiful place"...and yes, it is expensive down here...
and yes, there are plenty of places for them to spend their money...
Also our Sailor did TAD with the EOD and enjoyed that assignment as well...take care...
No doubt about that.
Sharla, the address I use includes a unit # and street address plus city/zip. The downside to creating a FB page is, not only do many people not have a FB account, there are constantly OPSEC concerns and a lot of Sonar stuff is classified. All the Buds (SEAL candidates) recently were told to leave our PIR group, for example.
