I went to a graduation at Point Loma. It was great. Not many parents come ( we were the only guests) and we were treated like VIPs It is a very short ceremony and photo op and then they have to report to holds and do paperwork unless they are reporting immediately. Message me if you have questions.
Does anyone know about the "A" school graduation on June 11th from Sonar at Point Loma?
jillymom.... HOOYAH
It looks like a new A school class started today - hooyah!
Youngestson, it's my understanding that the second to the last ATT class started last week or so; it will run about 7 wks plus holidays and your sailor would probably be in the last class.
I was there this last weekend with my sailor who's on board the USS JPJ.... Liberty Station is across the street THEY HAVE ICECREAM i was happy... hahha Liberty station is like a small mall with food ... it used to be RTC San Diego, my brother and my step dad went thru there for Navy Boot (I went to orlando) it looks sooooo different BUT AWESOME.... saw the STG school buildings... but didn't see any sailors :-( but I waved at who ever's kids are there now...hahhaha HOOYAH
Thanks, abuon18. Wow, he called this morning and said he phased up already and is able to leave base for day liberty. He also said they won't class up for at least a couple weeks. He's happy he's not bunking so close to the ceiling and his room has a microwave and fridge; plus he said the chow is great. Point Loma looks like a beautiful place to be from the pic I found. And yes, youngestson, according to my sailor only 2 more ATT classes at GL.
