Ok...I just joined because my son had to re-class from EOD due to an injury.  Love this website and have been a member since he was in DEP.  He just let us know he will start ATT at GL on Monday.  Look forward to learning more about this new adventure!  Everyone have a nice evening!

So my Sailor did grad with flying colors and is at the airport as I write this waiting to fly out this evening. Is it 4 to a room at Point Loma? Do they need to phase up? My brother wants to check him out on Mother's Day, but I don't think things move that quickly. Is anybody's sailor in A class right now? Just wondering when the current class grads.

hahhahahahha  yes breathing is overrated at times!!!!  When she gets close to graduating A school everyone gets their orders... My son got orders to the USS John paul jones, so he went to OPS for the systems that are on the JPJ.  I think it lasted as long as A school did.and its the same location as A school

LOL Barbydahlzz I know....breathing has been overrated lately though. :)

But thank you, from what you said, it sounds like finally something is matching up.  What is ops school?  Is that after A school?

Comment by Sharla on May 6, 2013 at 5:25pm

She is in for 4.

Which makes it even more puzzling, because what everyone is saying was starting to make sense.  LOL.

Comment by jillymom on May 6, 2013 at 5:15pm

Sharla, is she in for 4 or 6? ATT school is for 6 yr enlistees.

Comment by ProudPapa on May 6, 2013 at 4:44pm

ATT is Advance Technical Training in GL.  Right after PIR she will move her gear to the new barracks across the street,  Somewhere around 1500 she will be finished and she will be on liberty until 2300 if I recall correctly.  Saturday and Sunday mornings they are on liberty very early.  The sailors that do not attend ATT school ship out the night of PIR.  Those sailors can leave with their families immediately after the ceremony.

hi Sharla, hope this can help you my son starts ATT school again on wednesday.at this time it is being held in GL. from what i have heard it is being moved out to SD after the next two class. if it is held in GL she will move across thebway after graduation and stay there till classes start. if they move it to SD she will leave that niight after graduation most families go to yhe airport at 2am and stay with their sailors till they board the plane. they let you to the gate to be with them. ATT school is about 7 weeks long then off to the A school. i hope this helps
