tad plans have changed....said he's going TAD with the SEALS hahah still a happy boy!!
my STGSN is going to China Lake for TAD ... all he said was THEY HAVE WEAPONS... i laughed..
my SN graduates from A school tomorrow ... he's soooo excited... no orders yet (ugh) which means no leave home (ugh) .. he's staying and waiting for OPS school .. just texted me a pic of his dress whites with his rate and rank sewed on. Im sooo proud,.
hello, my son just started A school on Monday..He has a 4 yr enlistment.. is already thinking he might get the opportunity to sign for the 2 extra yrs...what should we consider, i don't know much about this field but am willing to learn...
Hi Vicki,
I bet you are so excited for PIR! It truly is a beautiful ceremony! As far as leave, he most likely will not get leave approved until he is San Diego. Like navymommo said, onec he gets to San Diego, depending on when his class is scheduled to start and how many leave days he has banked, he can request leave while he is on hold before his school starts. They are not allowed to go on leave during their class time. The STG base is usually very accomodating, and unless they do not have enough leave days saved or the days would overlap with school they will usually approve. My husband started A school immediately, but after he graduated A school in February, has been on hold since and does not start C school until the end of the month, so I think a safe bet would be after A school, like navymommo said! Congratulations!
Welcome and congratulations! leave happened for my son after A school He will wait on "hold" after processing days at Point Loma until he classes up. This is dependent on how many sailors are there and ready to start- they start when they have enough- so this is not predictable. Leave happened for my son after he graduated from A school
Just joining the group as my sailors PIR is this friday. She has a 6 yearl enlistment and will be in Great Lakes until around June 12th and then on to San Diego for A school and after that C school. Can anyone tell me when they are allowed to come home on leave?
abuon... he's 4 yr.... but already can't wait to re enlist...
