I know I've mentioned this before, but the last few messages brought it back to mind. Please get your sons insurance to cover their belongings! USAA is an insurance company strictly for military personnel. Their renters/personal belongings insurance covers all items no matter where a sailor goes. In an apartment, on board a sub, while travelling or in storage. If a sailor owns it its covered. It is really inexpensive. Once again, let me say. I don't work for USAA and never have. Just an old Navy wife, now a Navy mom. We've had our coverage with them for 30 years. Good luck to all of you.

Hi Everybody: Before it starts, I want to wish all of you a very happy and safe new years celebration. One of the great blessings is having this site! Thank you all. My angel blessings, Susan

Those last messages really struck a chord. Last week my son learned his own tough lesson when his XBox was stolen by United baggage handlers from his checked carry-on on his way back to Groton. Unfortunately, that job appears to attract a great many thieves.

Hi Lauren: I'm excited to help Cameron. I've been holding him in prayer. Our sailor son, Adam is a Nuke on the USS Pennsylvania - Blue Crew. He is on his fourth year of sub service. He has applied for shore duty due to family circumstances. Brianna just turned one, and she will have her cleft pallet surgery this January.
Please tell Kellen thank you! While our son is distant - that doesn't keep me from supporting others.

Susan I just want to tell you that Kellen is on his way home and I was telling him Camaron's story and because he knows me and that I was writing to him, he is going to try and help me find his new info ( I have not received another letter from him yet) and we are going to send him a couple of things. Maybe Wendy will get more info when she gets home
So where is your son ? has he been in long?

WOW Ordy this is VERY cool! I'd love to have it on a sweat shirt!!
Hey Kellie - yes Adam is on the Penn Blue - - umm this is so amazing. I haven't figured out how to invite a friend yet - - hope to hear more from you.

Thank you Wendy and Lauren. Some of us have hard relationships with our sailor's. Mine has taken that 'don't talk' beyond where it is ment to be. Now is married and it is very difficult to even get a phone call. He is very good at 'don't talk'. To the point I worry about him having friends.
However, if Cameron is willing - I would be very happy to be one of many to help. While we are in northern California (between Auburn and Reno) - which doesn't give us much of an opportunity to offer him a place to relax - we can write and get to know each other. I'll wait to hear.
On a very happy note for Wendy - I'm glad to hear that you have Jim and his family. Grandbabies are God's blessing abounding! I know that you are enjoying them. If you have a chance (and if they are four or older) - ask them about who they are their favorite stuff (number, color, etc.). It is fun to make a book with them on 'My Story". If you can do it every year - it becomes very cool. Thank you both - my angel blessings, Susan
