Congrats LaxDogsMom! My son is still out, but since his boat is still being refurbished, he had to go out on one from another port.

LindaGirl, glad they are doing well! Gee if he enters the army, you will have the major branches covered!

WOW!  I haven't been on here in a long time.  I've been staying connected on FB, but had forgotten all about this page.  UPDATE:  My son got his Dolphins this past week!  So PROUD of him.  Annette, I know our guys are on the same sub...and Cath Bubblehead how about yours? Did his sub just return to Guam?  (Can't remember if we are sharing our sailors' sub names on this site...)  Anyway-I've got to remember to read the messages on here when I get the emails...duh! Take care NMs!

Hey Cath, all 3 of my boys are doing well. Thanks for asking. My two youngest, just took the Suffolk County Police test this past Saturday, so we'll see how they did in a few months. My middle son should be getting 5 extra points on the test for being in the Marines, so that could really boost his standing as far as his test score goes. We're keeping our fingers crossed. My youngest is seriously looking into the Army, & has another appointment with the recruiter on Wednesday, so at least he may have several options, if the police force doesn't come through.

Annette, what a wonderful thing for your husband to do. He must be so proud that his son is following in his footsteps & can now pass on his Dolphin Pins to his son! Can't imagine how proud your son must be to have his dad's pins, as well. Congratulations all around!

Cath, what great news, congratulations to your son on earning his Dolphins!

Annette congratulations to you too! It's wonderful that he had his dad's Dolphins! I have no idea when my son got his, he's just glad he is no longer a nub!
Comment by Annette on June 15, 2015 at 7:50pm

well, I haven't been on here in a while, mainly because until just last week I found out how to leave comments and replies using my phone, I have not had a working computer. But now I do and this is just an easier way to use N4M pages.

Anyway, Exciting news, our sailor got his dolphins! June 1 or 2, not sure with time difference. And he was pinned with his Dad's dolphins which were earned June 1979! He was pretty stoked, that was a surprise for him! My husband sent them to the COB of his boat back in fall.

Congrats Cath! Awesome news!
