stylist 613- if you look to your right there is a column in blue lettering. If you read down the column there is a page titled ' *Halfway Boxes & Mail Drops' if you click on it you will be given some useful information. At the bottom of the article there is a list of suggested items to send to your submariner. =)
stylist 613- If you can find him an all natural fiber warm blanket, I'm sure he'll be grateful. Its very cold in the submarine. My son has told me he has to sleep in multiple layers of clothes to stay warm. The blanket needs to be made of natural fiber due to fire risks. Some of his favorite books or movies may be helpful. Though he will be very busy doing & studying in order to complete his Quals. Until he achieves his Dolphins his life on the boat will be VERY busy with little down time. I can't think of much at the moment. But I recommend that you get in touch with your Ombudsman. She/he will be able to prove you some useful suggestions also. Whether your son is on a fast attack or a bummer remember you can put together a Halfway box for him. It will be opened when they are halfway done with their mission. Put in some goodies from home, that will not parish. Some suggestions are jerky, hard candy, prepackaged hot cocoa and pictures from home. I hope I've helped a little. I'm sure the rest of the ladies on this forum will be of further help.
hello, my son will go on his first underway shortly after the holiday. I need some suggestions for Christmas, clueless what to get him. thx
Thanks BunkerQB. My car is a 2004. Has a BMW logo button to lock.
CO, I don't remember exactly how he did it. I"ll find out. We couldn't program our remote key alarm because we had driver door replaced. My younger son was rough on the car. My boys just used their regular key.
BTW, if you have a '94 I still have two keyless remote entry alarm. You'll have to have the dealer program them for you. But if you want them, I'll mail them to you. They look like the this.
Oh what a picture, mid intersection, radio turned up and you jump out to dance.
Wouldn't do that here now. this AM when I got up for school it was 1* and snowing. Will be below 0* tonight. BBBUUURRR. I am thanking God that when I go to school at 6am my car is snug in a heated garage.
Oh now, BunkerQB, you have me worried. I have a BMW. How does one lock oneself in?
hello all!!
funny you are talking about car alarms! the same car we couldn't get out off, we bought, (once were figured out how to get out of it LOL), had the key pad on the key chain for the alarm. my husband and sons were out and somehow the alarm went off. hubby couldn't get it to shut off with the keypad because the batteries in it went dead! my hubby had to call AAA. the alarm went off for about 15-20 minutes. hubby wasn't very happy. I was really glad I wasn't with them!!LOL
The BMW expert also said breaking a window would have set off the alarm.
