Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Still no letter yet. Praying for Monday. I did receive a call on Friday from a medical person who wanted to verify that my son is allergic to penicillin. I asked if was ok and he said he was fine and that he was just verifing his medical records. I hope this is a normal thing. Glad you got your letter and hope the call comes soon. Talk to you later.
Hey stylist613.... I hope you are doing well and hanging in there. Last week we were camping so it wasn't too different with my son gone, but now that I'm home I'm missing him more. I was wondering if our guys are together on the same ship and div? When is a good time to contact you? evenings? weekend? let me know so we can touch base, I still have your number. Good night.
hi missy. thanks for getting in touch. I would love to talk to you and will get in touch with you soon. We were on vacation this past week and just got home today. I don't know if it helped or not with dealing with my son leaving. Too much time to think. anyway, we didn't receive his box yet but there was a FedEx sticker on our door about a missed delivery so I'm assuming that's it. I've got some catching up to do in our office work since we were out last week, I'll give you a ring later this week. I look forward to getting to know you better. I hope you are doing well. . . I miss my son but I'm happy for him to be doing what he wants. ttyl
We were told that we had to take that form to the bank. My daughter did and they filled it out right there and gave it back to her. Hers is now in her "Little Black Wallet", waiting on Wednesday to get here.
Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones); I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) beginning with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile); you may want to make changes 3 and 4. Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC.What is your future Sailor's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There may be other information or groups I can steer you to. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
