Got the best surprise ever this morning! My son was able to get liberty because of Memorial Day, from Sub School in Groton, Conn. (after telling me it had been cancelled earlier in the week). My husband picked him up from the ferry, bringing him home to Long Island for the weekend, without telling me! They wanted it to be a surprise, & indeed it was! So happy!

Had a wonderful trip to visit my son. Missed Wears Big Hats. My plane got delayed 4 times before I even left Denver. They had to reticent me and I got there two hours later than expected. Son picked me up and took me out for a late dinner. Only thing I missed out on was a tour of his boat. There were issues and so my Son thought it best to skip it. We got all of Mothers day together though. Anytime he was not working he came to do stuff. So I also got to explore on my own. I did have a day while he was on watch to meet up with another N4M mom and we went to the big Swap meet at the stadium.

Praise the Lord. May has been wonderful month. Nathan earned his dolphins on 5/25/17 while on ride along on the Newport  News. I am so proud. To top that off my 17 year old daughter graduated on 5/15/17 from Daytona State with her AA. She graduated from high school on 5/25/17 .Yes, she graduated from college before high school. I am so blessed.

So, apparently there actually is a screen door on a submarine. My son found that quite amusing.
