Had a friend, Her two sons, two of their friends, a guy I sing with at church and a former art student help me pack up, One drove a 26ft u haul and the rest followed and we all unpacked!!!You know there was zero breakage. They did good, I boxed everything they loaded the truck and unloaded. Better than a moving company and WAY cheaper.

The letter came on embossed cardstock from his CO. It's very nice; even has a short handwritten message. I haven't heard from my son at all during this underway. I understand wanting confirmation that I've received it,but he'll have to be content with a signed copy. I'm sure it depends on the command how they handle contacting family about dolphins.

Eaglefan, Congratulations to your son on getting his dolphins.  I am sure you are proud.

Co-Twin, Glad the move has happened and you can start school soon.  I know you are excited about the next phase in your life;

TNM - Happy to hear your life is getting back to a new normal. Nothing will ever be the same but  there will come a time that life is easier.  Until some memory trips you up like what happened to me yesterday.  But time is the answer.  Hope your dad is stronger everyday.

I have to have Nuclear Stress test on Friday and I am not looking forward to it.  Keep me in my prayers.  I do not post much but I do read all that is going on with you all and say prayers for us all.  I can not post on my facebook because my mom gets on there and I do not want her reading about my health.  I tell her when I want her to know something.  No use in worrying her.

Enjoy your week, all.

Eaglefan, Just wondering why would you have to sign the letter and return it?

Congrats Ealgefan on your sons dolphins.

Way to go Co-Twin on your moving. Good luck with unpacking.

Shea, good question about the letter. My son earned his dolphins while underway (he is still underway). My son let me know he earned them in and email. I have not received a letter maybe when they get back.

Congrats Eaglefan! Glad you got moved safe and sound CO-Twin. Moving can be a challange. We downsized from a 2500 sq ft house to a 1500 sq ft townhouse a month before my sailor left for bootcamp. Boy did I get rid of some stuff! Lol. Ok I have a question about the letter when our sailors get thier dolphins. Mine got his mid June and I didn't get anything. Just curious if anyone knows the protocol? Thanks in advance!
