Slezaksmom  your post made me cry too. I agree with Kevsmom93 you had an angel watching over you. Thank you so much for sharing your story, and congratulations on your son's graduation.

So, I'm traveling today to Albany, NY, to attend the Prototyoe graduation tomorrow!! Yes, I'm very excited, but it's been rough...

I was supposed to leave yesterday, but something got messed up with my 3rd-party, cheap airfare site and agent who assisted me. The flight got booked for today instead of yesterday and I was pretty much crushed when they told me there was nothing that could happen any sooner -- even if I paid the exorbitant fees!

So, I waited and am flying today. I've got a connection in DC (now), but as I was waiting (in the front of the line!) to board, the gate agent told me that I'd have to check my bag because the zone on my ticket indicated I'd be boarding last and the flight was going to be too full for overhead baggage by the time I got on. "Oh, no! I'm going to miss it, or embarrass my kid by attending graduation in travel clothes with only purse makeup," I thought to myself...

Before I could process this, a random guy came up to me and said, "There you are! I've been waiting for you over here in priority boarding!!" He sorta moved me and my suitcase over to where his stuff was, and as the gate agent walked away he said,

"I'm James. I overheard you've been having some troubles getting to see your son graduate. My brother was Navy and I got to see him graduate in Pensacola a long time ago. I know it meant a lot to him. I can't get you there any sooner, but I can make sure you don't have to check your bag. We're together now and you can board with me when 1st class boards."

I was stunned. I'm sure I said thank you (hope I did, but it's fuzzy) and I said, "How can I repay you?" James said, "You don't have to. Tell you son I said thank you, for sure, but I want to thank you, too. It's families as well as the guys doing the job who sacrifice, too, you know?"

Well, I teared up then and am now as I type, but James made my day and I wanted to share because you all deserve a thank you, too!!

Ladies, very sweetly and politely, I ask you to read the "PAGES" which are located beneath all the avatars, in the right-hand column ------>

"Pages" are essentially files or documents.  The heading "Pages (14)" - that means there are 14 documents, full of good useful information, always available 24x365!

Mark wrote one titled, "Sub School in Its Various Forms," where he tells you all about the different schools and who does what.

Please feel free to refer each other to these, as they keep any of us from having to be the "subject matter expert!"  (Even Mark)  ;-)
