And I just seen your note about dinner, we will be delighted to have you join us on Thursday.

I did confirm with Ellen in Chattanooga that - it is Eastern time zone there so 5 pm Eastern time. I think it's going to be a great evening!

Oh yeah! Cheryl - will this be your first grandchild? Have you joined our AECF group? Our son is an FC as well but he graduated from A school in December and is deep into his C school now. The good news is with that rate, he can have his family at school with him and there are alot of young FC or ET families there while they are going thru school. If you need any info, plese let me know.

Hi Ladies, my life is ALMOST normal or should be next week! Right now it looks like the headcount for dinner is 15 - 20 but I suspect that will be growing. I sent the LT an email last night and we will be talking next week about location for dinner and other details. I appreciate so many of you offering to help and I will share that with the LT, Ellen also lives in Chattanooga and offered to coordinate events there as well. Once we hear from the LT next week, we should know more and will post that information immediately for you.

As far as an RSVP cut off, please try to get your headcount to me or posted in the events Dinner with MCPON by Thursday, June 4th. LeAnna, if your son is in boot camp, please come meet all the ladies that will be supporting you along the way. I do not know how far Murfreesboro is from Chattanooga but I believe ADN lives in Murfreesboro (?) perhaps a carpool can work. I will be carpooling from Atlanta with a couple of our GA Navy moms.

As soon as I hear back from the LT, I will let you know I suspect it will be early next week with the holiday weekend on us.

Wishing each of you a wonderful Memorial Day!

Thanks ADN - I'm losing my computer access for the rest of today but hope things will be normal tomorrow.

I will be happy to call the Lt. in charge of this event and ask any questions that you may have so please feel free to post them here or on my page. He is very interested in having a nice gathering for dinner on Thursday evening in Chattanooga with the MCPON. At this point we only have the time of 6 pm scheduled as we needed to see if we are looking at 5 families or 50 families.

We had discussed using a restaurant in Chattanooga itself that evening. As far as cost for dinner. I'm unemployed so I'm trying to be frugal but I do know in some of the other states where this has taken place - the Navy paid for the dinner for the families that attended. I do not want to mis represent him or make an assumption so I will ask in view of today's economy - who's paying for dinner so you can make a better decision in that regard.

If you have any other questions that you would like answers to please try to post them here by noon on Thursday and I will call him with those questions and then post the answers for you.

Also if there is a mom from TN that would like to be the coordinator for your state that would be lovely - please let me know and then he can have two points of contact. I'll take care of GA and perhaps someone else would like to coordinate Tennessee???
