Welcome WifeNMudder! Yay!!! Thats awesome. We are some proud moms here.
Hello, I'm Melinda from Lewisville (between the D and the FW). My son is a senior in HS and has just completed MEPS and has been accepted into Nuke. He is due to ship out in January, however we were told that he'll probably be asked to go earlier. Very proud!
Hello. For all the folks with recruits at RTC, I just wanted to invite you to join the PIR Group on here that corresponds to your Recruits graduation date.
Here is a link to a Forum post that has links to the current PIR groups as well as some other great info:

Heath, Texas here!
My son goes to bc on April 25.
I hadn't heard from my son for about 4 weeks. My first phone call came on a Saturday around 5:00 pm. It was like i won the lottery. All i could do was cry because it was so good to hear his voice.
The first weeks they are busy from sun up to sun down and exhausted. Studying, drilling, marching. Send him letters of encouragement. I wrote my son every day.
When he graduates, is so well worth it. Southwest Airlines has little to no change fee.
Amarillo TX. My SR's PIR is 3/24. I'm in countdown mode :)
