Morning, ladies... I hesitate to say "good" before it. I was asked by the USS Reagan Moms to find out what I could about the Reynolds family (I'd told them the owner of Bunn's Florist is a family friend). So I made some calls this morning, and every time news comes about this story, it only gets worse.
I called the Pittsburg Gazette, which told me the funeral has NOT been set because the Arizona DPS hasn't "officially" identified the family's remains. This is because the fire which engulfed their vehicle was so intense, as to make dental records usuable. Therefore, they're using DNA testing, which takes a few more days.
The paper told me that Erman Smith Funeral Home is handling the services. Their number is 903-856-2711 / website is www.ermansmithfuneralhome.net/. They confirmed that svcs are still pending, but will post them on the website ASAP.
They were able to tell me that the family is churched at Emmanuel Baptist Church (903-856-3411). I told the church secretary that Navy Moms needed to know a way to help, did the church provide a reception or dinner, was there another need the family had, etc. She is checking with church staff and will call me back.
I hope ya'll don't take offense at my "jumping in the middle" of this, but it seemed quicker to just make the calls myself, than to hand it off. I'm happy to pass this responsibility to any of you who would prefer it.
Sharing Your Sadness, Kaye Smith
Hey Ladies,
I was just wondering if someone could design a card ( made on the computer) that could say N4M on it and we could all down load it and send them to Sean. I am not that good on the computer but I know some people are. I just thought it would be nice if he knew that we are moms and we love him and care about him.
Just a thought..

Good morning Ladies!
First, I want to say how thankful I am for this site. I remember 6 months ago when my sailor went to boot camp. Man, was that hard. I cried every day..All of you helped me get through a very rough time. Now, he is doing great and I am getting used to the Navy ( as a mom ) life. So again, Thank you all!
Kayes, I joinded Bremerton. Thank you for the info. Thank you all for the info..
Now, is there anything we can do for Sean as a group? I feel so helpless and I just wished we could come up with something we could do as a group. So he knows that N4M is there for him. I honestly dont know what I would do if I were him. It is so tragic! If someone can think of anything we can do together, please let me know..I'd love to help with anything.
Thank you and have a blessed day!
KellyinKaty
NavyDadJim,
Let Sean know that there are lots of Navy Mom Hugs and prayers being sent his way. Also I informed the Army K9 Unit that I adopted and he said to tell Sean that there are lots of prayers going up from the sandbox from his brothers in the Army. It is so nice to see that there may be joking going back and forth about which service is better than the other, but when you get right down to it when a fellow service member no matter what the service) is in need they rally around no matter what.
04harleyswife(Ship02/Div944,
Congradulations to your new Sailor. I hope you are able to go to PIR. It is a wonderful thing to see. I know been there twice.
