FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Finally got some much needed rain last night (1am)....figures since I watered some when I got home work, oh well double dose!

i think last nites storm was the worst we have seen in awhile. i work at the eastchase target in ft worth.  we actuallly had to go the back of the store for about 30 minutes until it passed.

I am from North Dallas, these last storms were the scariest I have ever been in, God protected us and we didn't get any damage. Some areas got soft-ball to grapefruit size hail!  So glad to hear about "ombudsman", I know that once my son finishes schools I will really need that contact!

Brian's Mom you will also find a telephone number (careline) that you can call and get an update on what is happening on the ship.  The message is updated every Sunday.  Also check out the USSRR Facebook page because you may spot your sailor in one of the pictures that they post.
