A little about me:
I am a new Navy mom but already know about the Navy way of life as I am married to a retired squid. We have been retired for 17 years. My hobbies are quilting, crocheting, and I like to read true crime books. I work part-time, mostly mornings for a used car dealer. I sometimes drive 200-300 miles a day and I love it. My son just left yesterday.

Be sure to make at least change 3 and change your Privacy Settings form "Anyone" to "Members."

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your Sailor.

You may also want to update your "About me:" section.

Elaine, Hi! Yes Paul is coming home Friday as well. At Reagan airport around 8:30pm. Can't wait to see him! His birthday is on the 21st so we get to celebrate it again this year. He will be 26! My "baby"! He goes back to SD the day after Christmas. What about your's? What airport and time does he come in?

Elaine, I'm so sorry to hear your mom isn't well. But I am excited you're moving to Maryland! I can't wait to see you. I'll have to see where Glen Burnie is in relation to me. Is your whole family moving as well? If you haven't joined the MD mom's [ I haven't checked yet] I look forward to "seeing" you on there!

Thanks Elaine, They said they would be letting us know once the family was notified, but that hasn't happened yet.  Thanks for the reply. Love your Texas quilt!

Elaine - we on the Essex group have been trying to find out the name of the sailor who died and an address where we can send sympathy cards, words of support...If you have that information to share, could you private message me the information?

Elaine... forgot to mention that if you're into crochet, have you joined Ravelry.com?  It's like Facebook for 'yarn lovers' and it's free.  More than just socializing, it has over 100,000 patterns, a place for you to inventory your yarn (then search for pattern based on your stash), and small groups for every topic under the sun.  I highly recommend it!  If you join, my user name is 'AuntK'; look for me!  Hugs, k.
