I had to post this picture of my son with the Dallas cheerleaders.  He's an instructor at RTC, and they are with a USO tour.

I to am new to Texas Mom's. My son went to boot camp a year ago this month. I was browsing the web & found this site on accident. I live in the Mesquite area & was hopeing to make friends in hte area! My son is on the USS Enterprise for his first deployment. They have been gone since January & I have only recieved 1 call in all this time. Good news is I do get emails & can follow the ship on facebook.

For all you moms who have sons/daughters in boot camp the time will fly & you need to plan now on going to graduation it is the most AWSOME site you will ever see. You think your proud now just wait till those big white doors roll up & you see your sailor come thur them. Its undescribable!!

God Bless Our Sailors today & everyday!!!

Now I lay me down to sleep, one less terrorist this world does keep. With all my heart, I give my thanks, to those in uniform regardless of ranks. You serve our country and serve it well, with humble hearts your stories tell. So as I rest my weary eyes, while freedom rings our flag still flies. You give your all, do what you must...with God we live and God we trust.

This was on one of my friends FB page-thought I'd share!

I would never go dancing in the street over this, although I'm not upset by either,  you are right, those kids probably do feel a little triumphant. They are just misguided in how to handle it, when they are older, they will understand. I would love to meet you all as well. I work, but weekends are open. Just let me know.
