FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Events

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am looking for team member to walk or crew in the 2009 DFW 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk. I have started a group called 2009 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk on NFM. Right now we have teams in Seattle and Boston (soon) and DFW. I would like to see NavyForMoms teams in all event cities in 2009.

i am from ft worth but i am really from ohio

my son join the navy in june and went to bc in june - august and pir in august then went to sub school in ct.
he has seen snow in ohio and some snow in tx and cold in tx but not like in ohio or ct.

I hope he does well with the cold in ct.

Hello from Kyle, TX (near Austin)!! It's finally getting cold here tonight!! My kids are at Great Lakes for A School and they're freezing their tails off!!! Texas kids don't do cold!! LOL

Thanks Earlene! I just wrote him a letter too. And we have a mom in Chicago that is trying to invite him to her house for Thanksgiving. He graduates the day before Thanksgiving. :)

A young man wrote his mom and told her about a boy that gets no mail AT ALL in bootcamp. On top of that, the guys make fun of him.

Thanks Julie!! I am doing fine at C from T's house. We had seven Navy moms making Freedom Wraps this evening!!!
It was awesome!!! The only thing missing was my sister, Colleen!!
She ended up heading back to check on her house. She had about one foot of water in it!! She has lost everything that she cannot get out in the next day or two due to mold taking over.
Pray her home owners insurance comes through - no flood insurance!!
