Hello Moms! My 18 yr old Connor arrived in GL Boot Camp on 11/4. Need prayers for strength coping with the multitude of feelings. He has older brother and 2 younger sisters. Me and his Dad have been married 22 years. This is our first time to be without him at home. So far away ( we are in Texas) and for such a long time. I know he's in God's hands, and so I'm not fearful about his wellbeing, just missing him terribly. Thanks for your support.

Hello everyone.

Here is the latest news on Trent.  It is a post from the Tracking Trenton Facebook site:

"AND THE GOOD NEWS!!! This is Trenton's Dad Josh.  I wanted to let everyone know that earlier today we were notified that they had a potential donor and they had sent a surgery team out to evaluate the organ.  We just received word that the initial evaluation is good and they are 99% sure that we are a go for transplant tonight @ 2130 Eastern (9:30PM).  As for trent's physical status, he is very tired and becoming more difficult to arouse but he is still oriented to people and maintaining his own airway.  At this point, that in and of itself is a blessing.  If for some reason they are not able to use this liver, they have began work-up for me to be a living donor and that process would take place no later than Tuesday. Anyway it goes, God has his hand on my son, and is working here in a mighty way.  Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayers. As if I haven't asked enough of everyone, I am going to request that @ 2130 Eastern time tonight that if possible everyone just send a prayer up!  Thank you all for your love and support.  I will keep you posted. Josh,"

Our son and his fiancée had a 3 way conversation with Josh last night and prayed with him. Aaron said that he sounds very tired. But, Aaron said that Josh and Jessica are so very thankful for all of the prayers.
Thank you everyone for praying.  I'll keep you all posted.
Hugs,
Elaine

Hello everyone.  I briefly heard from our son about Trent. He is on the top of the donor/transplant list :))  Thank you Lord Jesus!  Also, if any of you have Facebook (I don't, so I'll keep posting here), you can follow Trent's situation at Tracking Trenton. Thank you for all of your prayers

Hello all.  Sorry it's so late, but I wanted to let you know that there has been no news on Trent since this morning.  My son said that the doctors in Atlanta said that 40% of children in liver failure have no reason for it???  I have been copying your prayers and sending them to Aaron so that he can forward them to Josh and Jessica (Trent's parents).  The Division Officer will be with the family this entire weekend.  Thank you for your prayers.  Please keep praying.  By the stripes of Jesus Christ, Trent is healed.  Amen.

Aaron just texted me regarding Trent (child with liver failure).

His conditions has deteriorated so rapidly that he has now been placed on the liver transplant list.

The Navy is sending the Division Officer to Atlanta to be with the parents for support.

Please continue to pray!!!  We know that our Lord can work miracles.

Thank you,
Elaine (aka chergui53)

Hello Prayer Warriors.

I am sending this prayer request to all of you because I know that you are all prayer warriors and will pray for this child and his family, and will keep them in your daily prayers.

Our son, Aaron, is an ENS in the Navy Nurse Corps stationed in P'Cola.

One of Aaron's friend needs your prayers.  Josh (an RN and ENS also stationed in P'Cola) and his wife, Jessica, have a very, very sick child.  The child's name is Trent.

He is between 9 yrs old and 16 yrs old.  He became very sick in P'Cola, was treated at the Naval hospital, was then transferred to the Catholic hospital in P'cola, and was then transferred to the children's hospital in Atlanta.

Trent has been diagnosed with acute liver failure.  His condition is getting worse.

The father, Josh, texted this to Aaron:

"Trent's liver is continuing to worsen, and all I can do is watch and wait....Please just pray so hard.  It's getting so hard."

They are going to try to do a liver biopsy tomorrow, but first they must transfuse him.  So far, there is no reason for the liver failure.

This is not just a one time prayer.  Please keep Trent and his parents, Josh and Jessica, in your prayers.

Those of us who are parents know how awful it is to see your child sick.  If you know of any other prayer warriors out there, please pass this on and ask them to pray for Trent.
I will keep you all posted.

Thank you.

Love you all,
Elaine (aka chergui)

Does any one know if there is a website like this for Marine Moms?

Navy mom 2013, I see you've joined a few groups.  We are all here for each other and those groups will help, too.  Find your son's PIR group (it will be posted soon, I'm sure), and you will be in contact with other mom's going through the same.  None of us knew we were signing up for this duty when our kids joined, but we all survive! Prayers for you and your SR.
