DebbieJ: My boyfriend is also in the next group classing up (on Monday) and he was talking about it yesterday, he said they told basically everyone that. From what I remember he said it's just RSS and that means if you fail a test twice again you get rolled and something else I don' exactly remember.

Welcome Brandy! In the discussion section of this group, read "The Road." It has a lot of info on there...... There are a lot of experienced Moms here. My son graduates this week from RSS, so I myself am still learning.

I have sent 2 boxes in the last two weeks. First week, I sent it out on a Monday - with overnight delivery - via UPS. He received notice that it was there on Thursday of all days.

The next week, I sent another package on a Monday - with overnight delivery - through the post office. He was notified, again, on Thursday that it was there.

I used regular boxes. Today I took the box that came with his stuff from boot camp and sent it with his civilian clothes. It's for delivery next Monday - which most likely means he will get it on Wednesday next week.

Hi all, I know I read somewhere back (but couldn't find) so I'll ask these questions as I'm sure others with sons and daughters that are getting ready to pass phase II and will be allowed to get civilian clothes and laptops sent to them... "What is the best way to send them things?? Where to get boxes?? What / How to send them?? Things to avoid??" Any tidbits of advice would be welcome :0)

Kari, we live in TN....as far northeast as you can get in TN. But yes we are still going to make it, even though it is short notice. I think it's important to him that we/I go....it's pretty important to me too.
