For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Sandra, My son left this morning also, we had to change his route. The mountains were getting 8+ inches of snow. My son has a Mustang so know way was that going to work. He had to take Nashville directions, went through some snow but said the hwys were fine. He called about an hour ago and he is in Hickory NC.
There was another sailor coming from Kansas and took hwy 64 and wished he took the southern route. He told my son the mountains were bad and he has a truck, he made a good choice taking Nashville.
Boy saying goodbye never gets any easier, but at least there home and in the States for awhile. I can at least hear his voice. We had a great 2 weeks with him, just went by way too fast.
Prayers are with them that are traveling.

Yep, same here. I am plotzing to see them zoomed in. I will keep checking back. So exciting. Especially since I couldnt be there.
I am trying but it keeps saying the photos have to be approved. Very sad. I will try again tomorrow.

My son said he had the bug right before coming home, and Sunday I caught it, today I'm finally feeling better, not a good bug!!
We are enjoying our time with our sailor, of course been doing alot, but today he seems he isn't so tired, he was exausted when i picked him up Wednesday. Everyone enjoy this last week with your sailors. !!!!
