Heard from Rob that on Saturday they were close to the equator somewhere and they let them jump off the pway and into the ocean for ten minutes! He decided to do and now concludes he has done everything the Navy has to offer and is ready to come home. I picked up our pup Friday evening and man, is she a little ham! She is an American Bulldog and her name is Dixie, after dixie cap :)

Ha Rob has been in 4 years too and barely any pictures either. He always says its such a hassle because the computers dont have a memory card spot or something. Glad he has some on facebook! Thats good Kathy your daughter got some relaxing time. I was trying to set up a time with Rob to skype and with duty and him forgetting what day it was, he realized they left the next morning! Too bad, hoping for Korea but also hoping he gets his approval to be separated and fly home from there. Fingers crossed! I am also going tomorrow and picking up our puppy so hes even more excited to come home :)

Welcome Debbie! My husband has been stationed in Japan his whole tour and I was there in April, such an amazing place and time. He's a DCmen but will be gone by the time your son gets there. I'm in Minnesota so I know the whole distance thing for sure. I heard briefly too about that sailor Blondie but nothing more either. Good luck to your daughter healing as well. Rob didn't get to go snorkeling or anything this time. He was happy to finally get mail today from me after them messing it up and mail being sent to the wrong ships!

When they were in Cairns the last time a Crazy guy who was protesting the ship jumped in the water as they were pulling in so they were delayed the guy got arrested but vowed to go back down to the dock and finish his protest after he was released. The Br had posted this article on there FB page does anyone else remember this? in fact if u do a search on the USS Blue Ridge Cairns Australia on you tube this guy has a video there I found it by mistake and man did he not know what he was talking about!!! He claimed that the ship had nuclear weapons on it and that people had died because of it, I clicked off that video real fast!!!!
