Hi Everyone,

it's been so nice having the kids home, Matt leaves tomorrow but Katie is home until the 15th :))) She is so funny she has to hit all of her favorite restaurants while she is home, so we have been on the go everyday!!! Haven't heard anything about them cancelling a cruise. According to Katie they get underway again June 22 and will be gone until Sept. sometime, maybe something has changed since she's been gone from the ship.

Have a Good weekend everyone!!

Blondie are you saying it is cancelled or asking if it is? They pulled in again last night after just a day and hopefully everyone gets some wind down time. Waiting about leave is the worst.my husband is waiting to hear about his terminal leave chit and its been weeks. He applied for his post 9/11 gi bill and he had to wait after a first letter then finally got a letter yesterday saying he was approved. Its great news for him and I'm proud, but it does us no good without knowing when he can come home! And then well have to wait to see about his leave days. Can't we all just get a fast forward button??

I got an email from my sailor in the 5th.  He is alright he says just very busy.  He never talks about leave anymore.  He was planning a trip home in Aug but never responds when I ask him about it.  :0(

That is good news kathy that they get to come home, but pretty stupid she has to use leave and matt doesn't. Doesn't seem fair at all. You never know what the navy will do but happy she just gets to leave at all. Rob is still waiting on his terminal leave chit and it sucks so much not knowing. I'm sorry she has to come home on bad circumstances and hope the most is made out of it.

Welcome TN

This is a great group we keep each other informed very well!! Glad the ship made it home they had to get back so Katie could go catch her plane on Thursday, she & Matt are coming home, unfortunately she's coming because her Grandpa is not doing well and may not be with us very much longer. Get this though the BR is not giving her emergency leave she has to use her own leave but yet Matt's command is giving him emergency leave, it's crazy I'm just glad they are both able to come home!!

Ship pulled in tonight and everyone I'm sure is happy to be off. Rob said things got really bad there. At least now they have a few days to relax.

Welcome and best of luck to her. Just talked to Rob. He couldn't sleep much. Said the ship is rocking something terrible. Doesn't know what the weather is like outside because everything is secured. He couldn't sleep well and got to his shop this morning to find their printer and laptop on the floor and papers and stuff everywhere. He's near the fron of the ship and says its probably going up and down 25 or so feet. Said he's starting to get a little sick and was going to go more towards the middle of the ship hoping its better. Luckily they pull in soon :/
