Katie called yesterday from the ship she was disappointed that they were called back because she had the whole weekend off and she hasn't had a weekend off since her B-day and that was back in April. So she was really bummed that Liberty was cancelled for everyone. When we talked to her she said they had not made up there minds as to if they were leaving or not.

Ha no. That's why I like my job. Ok have a good weekend!

Yeah that sounds really tough. Weekends are big to everyone. I just had 3 days off and was looking forward to it but not one day did I sleep in or get done what I had wanted to and planned on, so I can only imagine for her and everyone else. Its nice to have a good boss like that who's understanding. Mine just popped in and caught me reading while the kiddos are watching cartoons!

Well that's a real bummer. I'm sure there's resentment when they have to go back and some don't. Everyone likes the freedom. Rob got off watch early and they at least got them Cocos last night. Small reward id say. Ha. That's too bad Blondie about the computer and work. I bet it makes you look forward to going every day though!

Yeah I saw some comments on Robs fb about people not getting in touch years before because of not having phones or anything. They were supposed to leave soon again anyways so I'm sure not a huge deal. Hope you get your call Blondie. I'm waiting for mine yet today to see what's going on.

Feel bad for the engineers who had to go back last night. Hope all is ok. Rob said this happened this past halloween and they were supposed to go to Shibuya. They didn't go and nothing happened weatherwise and there were some mad sailors.

Blondie

Thanks for sending the jolly ranchers!  I work in as an ICU nurse and all his life he has heard stories of what smoking can do to your body.  I would love to see a picture of your daughter and any other navy related ones you have.  I would also like to have an address to send a care package to them.  Do each sailor have a specific address or could  I send it to a general address?  My sailor has not given me an address.  I think he thinks Ill send his something embarrassing.  I promise, I wont!
