The USS Blue Ridge has a Facebook page, so I get updates everyday-even if not from my son. Looks like they took on supplies as well as mail yesterday and they are still off the coast of Okinawa. If you don't get those updates, you should-it's a good way to keep tabs, AND they post pics every day too! I keep looking for my sailor, but he's in communications, so he's usually at a desk inside somewhere while all those others are on the deck, hard at work.

Its been over a week for me too since I've heard from Rob. Its weird not hearing his voice everyday. He moved down to hazmat checkout as his time is winding down and they don't have a phone in there. Hopefully soon. Were still planning on me going out there but its so hard to plan not knowing when they'll be back! Happy for those who get to hear from their sailors. Nothing but rain here in MN too, kind of a dreary misty Monday. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Good to hear you finally got word from Bert-I know how that is-isn't he on facebook?? That is the ONLY way I ever hear from my son. He always tells me he doesn't want to bother me. They just don't seem to understand that all we want is to hear from them.

Heard from Michael via Facebook today. He has not received the package I sent one week ago yesterday, but he said that he heard that deliveries would be coming in "the next week" whatever that might mean. Just an FYI for all Moms out there. Keep up the communications-this is GREAT to see all the postings !!
