Hi everyone! I recently joined the site and was so happy to see there was something for this ship! I am not a navy wife, but a new navy wife. This has been quite the experience so far and am just thankful I get to talk to him as much as I can, and now have a group who can relate :)

Blondie Can you share a little bit about what your daughter does. Maybe we can figure out if our kids know eachother.

Thanks for everyone's support.  Im just worried that his lack of communication means he is unhappy or sick or something.  He was so happy in A and C school and always talking about everything and could wait to tell about everything he was doing.  I could tell he was so proud to be in the Navy.  Now he is silent.

Blondie, Help! Im worried.  I went to the news letter and his name isnt listed as a crew member.  What is going on?? I was at his strike graduation when he got his orders to go to Japan and he knew he was going to be on the BR.  What do you suggest?

Blondie, My son told me he is on the Blue Ridge. But I have never seen pictures or had any other way of knowing this.

Yes they can be microwaved or you can just put boiling water on them and let them "steep" a while.I already sent him 6 packs and I will get some more they are cheap enough.

I feel for you Bert's Mom. I also have a son on the ship. If weren't for the mothers of girls on here I wouldn't hear much of anything. I did hear from him on Facebook Saturday though we talked back and forth for a while he said all is well he just wants me to send a care package with ramen noodles, canned tuna and beer LOL!

Can anyone update me on the Blue Ridge.  My son is on ship.  He is an IS there since last Nov.  He rarely calls or emails( not unusual).  Since the tsunami I have been emailing and trying to following what you guys have been posting.  Im worried and I have only gotten a short email two weeks ago to say "im okay".  I just wish I knew a little more about his career and his life on the ship and how he is doing.  He just says he is too busy to keep in touch???? I hope he is okay.
