Good morning ladies!  We received a phone call from our son last night!  It was about a minute, but that minute was golden!!  He sounded so very tired, and like you all have already stated, we seemed to know more than he did about them.  He did say that the news should not be telling so much about them, which I agree, and then at the same time have been so thankful for just any thread of news about them.  Still praying for all of them and all of the people of Japan.  (Still no internet at home, but will have a new provider and be up and running Friday, fingers crossed).  I keep telling my husband that I am trying not to complain, as I look at the loss and devastation in Japan, but I am ready to be back in the 21st century. :)  Hope you all are having a blessed day.

Had a good FB chat a couple days ago, but came here to give my very grateful Thanks to all of you who messaged me and wrote me and let me see the 4 pics of Patrick and the videos.  I've been watching them over and over.  I do not know if they've passed out the potassium iodine to the crew yet, but I'll try to check in while I'm taking care of my folks in Conroe the next two days, then back to work and another 2nd job interview.  I've planted some (not as much as I've wanted) for spring, and have had a horrible tragedy with some neighbor kids doing something and not telling us - can't talk about - lawyer told me not to. Have to put some plans in place at the folks - his advanced and final dementia is, well you know.  Have to protect my mom and their finances. Keeping all of you and your sailors in my daily prayers.

Welcome Mississippi Mom

This group is awesome!!! We all keep each other informed. I agree Girls are better about calling home LOL. I talked to my daughter yesterday she says the same as everyone else all they know is that they are heading to Japan. We know more than she does she said.

Thank you Kathy and I REALLY do appreciate you sharing with us when you hear from your daughter.  Girls are just better about calling home that boys, and when I say please know that I have one of each, and usually my son calls home more than my daughter, but she is getting better(with lots of encouragement from her Momma) LOL!  I know my son is probably really busy, but I would love to hear his voice.

Good morning ladies and I too am like Blondie, couldn't wait for Monday morning :) and to get back to work (LOL!).  My internet has been out at my house since sometime Friday, and I have been i-rate all weekend.  My son is on the BR and I haven't talked to him.  I did come to the office on Sat. morning to log on Facebook and wouldn't you know that he had posted on Friday night!  So needless to say I called my internet provider again and unloaded.  It is ureal how much you can find out via FB, e-mail, and it goes without saying that N4M is a true lifeline.  I have been lost all weekend not being able to log on to N4M.  You ladies are such a tremendous help, when yall post that you have heard from your Sailors, I know that my son is also okay, so please keep your updates coming, as they help all of us stay connected.   Our kids sure need our prayers and support.  I really dread for our  Sailors to have to go back to such devastion and loss, but I am so proud of each of them, as I know they will all step up and do what is asked of them.   Praying for safe travels for everyone on the BR, and for everyone in Japan.

I have received emails from my son, Mike, but he said that there as no phone service-I'm just glad to know they were nowhere near that terrible disaster. He has a finace in Yokosuka, and she says all is well there too.
