I heard from Katie on Sat. she's too funny you guys will get a kick out of this story.

My Mom has always sent a box of Candy for all of the Sailors for the holidays well she sent Katie a box after Valentine's Day which she just got on Sat. Katie gets the box she feels how heavy it is so she knows it's candy, well she hands the box to the guys in her division and says here's some food for us all and she lets them open the box, well the guys open it and they find 2 photo albums in the box so they pull them out and start looking at them, they were all pics of Katie from her being a baby on up to now LOL she said I said give me those well of course they wouldn't give them to her until everyone in the room saw them, she said u tell Grandma I was so Red and tell her Everyone has now seen all of my baby pictures!! I said but didn't u like them she said yes but it just made me miss all of you really bad. Next time she'll open her own box LOL!!!

KTSN - so happy about your dog!  We are taking care of my sons dogs for him and I worry about them like they were kids.  My hubby just shakes his head at me.

Wow, a massage for $10....maybe we all need to book us a trip! LOL!  I would also love a pedicure and manicure, that is one thing I have never done, have paid for my daughter to have them, but never myself.  Oh well one day maybe. :)

Update on our dog Sheba, she is doing very good, we saw the cardiologist on Tuesday he said for as old as she is her heart is doing pretty good, she has 2 leaky valves, but said the chamber that pumps the blood is OK we have her on 2 different Meds. and she is doing good, she was back to her usual self yesterday had the bounce back in her step!!!!
Katie said she had a massage and it only cost about $10, she also had a manicure and pedicure said they are all cheap there so she's been getting pampered!!! We didn't buy a Train pass we just got the tickets daily and they weren't that expensive. Yes be prepared to walk a lot!! Katie & Matt had a car but the only time we used it was when we went to the big base to shop!! Everything is expensive, best place to buy souvenirs is at the Nex, I really didn't find a lot of souvenir stores around Japan.

That's cool about the Blue Ridge Emblem being on the show!!

TY all for the prayers we see the Heart Dr. today at 10:00

I was finally able to get a hold of Katie, thank god for this group because that's how I got a message to her. I have added a few of the kids to my FB, I sent Danielle and Brett a message telling them that if they saw Katie to please tell her to call home. Brett works in the same division as her and he gave her the message and she called. I just hate giving her bad news when I'm so far away she started crying I wanted to reach through the phone and give her a hug. We Have a Great Group Here!!!

I agree Kamakura is a must see!!  I haven't heard a word from mine but I need too I sent her an email and haven't heard from her yet. I need to tell her about our Dog she had congestive heart failure and was in the hospital yesterday, they sent her home and she is on meds seems to be doing better, we have to take her to a heart Dr. tomorrow, the thing is she's like 14 years old so I don't think there's much they can do for her bedsides keep her on the Meds.  But I need to tell Katie. In her old division she got her email immediately and she'd always call right away so I'm waiting for that phone to ring. Please say a Prayer for Sheba.

They had heated toilet seats with bidet's in them at the big train station and also at the Disneyland hotel we had 1 but there apt. on base didn't.

After we came back from Japan I went in to use the toilet and I yelled out to my hubby that the seat was cold he said what do you want me to do buy you a heated one?? I said YES he laughed and said it'd cost more to have it hooked up than to buy one LOL!!! I got an email from Katie she said she hasn't been sea sick but lots of people were. I do believe they will be wherever they are going by the 14th. She too works a 24 hour shift every 4 days, they all work there butts off on this ship.
