Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Talked to Katie last night she said they were all on alert last week but everything is fine now, sooo keep our fingers crossed that the ship stays put until after the holidays!! As far as Katie knows they won't be going anywhere until Feb. so let's hope it stays that way, she said she was just looking at the schedule and that's what it says.

I don't think they'll be going out before Christmas, but who knows Blondie I sure hope she's there when u get there.
Kathleen I can never get Katie to do Skype either. I did talk to her the other night and she said she didn't know about Jonis's phone she said she'd check but I haven't heard back from her.

True it was but it was still 11 hours and 45 mins I can just imagine what it is coming from your direction.

Blondie Have a Great Trip just be prepared for a Very Long Plane Ride!!!! LOL at 1 point I thought we must be getting close so I looked at the map on my screen in front of me and it said we still had 3 hours to go I thought Noooo we should be closer than that LOL.
Kathy C so glad they made it back safe & sound.
I know my daughter has been working her butt off ever since the ship came out of dry dock and all, they haven't been able to get there computers up and running right so she's been putting in so many hours trying to get them working right. She said there was 1 day where she went in at 4am and worked until 9pm trying to get them working right. Has anyone's Sailor complained about the ship and how they treat them??
