Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Katie was telling me that you have to be a certain age to have a car I think she said 25 ?? she is only 23 but because they are married they can have one. Kathleen can't you rent one?? too bad Katie wasn't home because she'd take u a few places in her car and give u a break.

We booked our trip through Priceline
base price was $560 Taxes and fees another $200
this was a great price though so u might try there

Blondie we Leave Nov. 18th and will be there until Dec. 2
My daughter is still in Va for school right now, it's been so nice being able to talk to her everyday mobile to moblie and text her LOL

When we go Katie & Matt have a car so they'll be picking us up, I asked if we needed a JR pass Katie said no. We are staying with them on base, Matt just sent me a message saying our Paperwork is done and awaiting our arrival LOL.

Kathleen sad news no she leaves for school on Sunday :(( She'll be in school until Nov. 1 when do u leave Japan? She may get to see you I think you said your there until the 4th?? I'll tell her to call Jonis when she's back OK.
I'm excited because I'll be able to talk to her everyday and send her text messages :)))) for a month LOL 47 days and I'll be there in Japan :))))
Get this she's supposed to leave on Sunday when I spoke with her yesterday she didn't even have her reservations yet, so she has no idea when she leaves and when she gets back that's Navy Life for ya huh LOL

Becky, I know he's working hard changing out those machines and doing maintenance. You know they all are working hard. Updates, conversions, changing out machinery,etc...

Patrick called after work - we talked more than 30 minutes. Woo-hoo. He tried to explain all the medals and ribbons in the pictures, and I told him I loved the look on his face playing softball, -they looked like they were having fun sitting around/working on the Phalanx.. (CIWS)
Blondie, I could put some here, but I don't want to clog up the front page, so I'll put it in a discussion. Some were not taken by the photographers on the BR, some were taken by his friends, the Gunners Mates! Thank goodness for them taking photos.
