Linn, hope Kristina gets well soon. Got my lengthy phone call, and I'm sooooooo much better now. Love to hear all the news of his activities. He passed his test, got the best eval, but no advance till Sept. His rate has a 20% advancement, and some rates have 100% - but then those don't have re-enlistment bonuses like he does. So there is some trade off. He is having a great time in the ports now - go figure - they say if you stay in the Navy long enough..... I love that his friends post pics and tag him on FB so I get to see more photos of him...!!

I finally got to talk to Sailor #2 for the first time since he left to go to Japan in January. We talked for 2 hours and was great to hear his voice. He is planning to call again this evening so that will be nice.He isn't much for communicating, even emails were pretty sparse. Sounds like he is having a good time and enjoying all the ports. He was saying that they made a complete cycle in the seasons and went form cold in South Korea to hot in Malaysia and back to cold in Russia. It was so nice to hear his voice after all those months.
