Kathleen, when you talk to Jonis next tell him Thank You for being such a good friend to Katie during Fire school, I talked to her today and she was telling me that she was really having a hard time when they were practicing, she said she was having Anxiety attacks her chest was hurting and all, she said Jonis was sooo good to her, he kept telling her it would be OK and to stay close to him, she said that was good but when they did the real thing they got separated. Tell him TY for helping her get through that!! That was really sweet of him!!

yes, very cool. I would have loved to have been back in Chattanooga when Mary had her get together with MCPON West. I saw the pictures. He also visited many places there, including Talk Radio with Jeff Styles, our friend from Boy Scouts. Then he visited the Boy Scout camp. Kathleen, I remember Jonis was an Eagle Scout. Good job!

I found it Molly, Jan. 11th. Whew, that was a ways back...

No Molly I didn't. Where? On MCPON group page or USS BR page or where? I do remember that story a long time ago though. I cleaned and organized (sorta) his room when he came home from C school. When he left for japan, the room was a total wreck again! So when I mailed him his Pea Coat, I tried to straighten it again, and I found (drum roll) a pair of BC glasses. They are so horrid! Poor kids!

Ahhhh That was a great story!!! Didn't he have a pair of glasses he took with him tough??? I know Katie had her own with her through BC and as soon as they said she could wear her own they didn't have to tell her twice!!! I remember asking Katie's recruiter why they called those glasses Birth Control glasses, he said because a guy won't look at you twice with those on I laughed so hard said I guess that's a good thing in BC LOL

Yeah can't ya just see that in Fire school LOL I bet they were a kick to watch!!
Katie had the BC Glasses too in BC but she did get to wear her own for PIR so she liked that, when she left for Italy on her first deployment I asked if she was taking thos BCG's with her as a back up pair she said Heck Noo Mom you'll never see me in those again!!

During BC, mine had to wear the so called "Birth Control" glasses. He got to wear his contacts for PIR, and I'm glad. I'm 20/200, and he's worse than that. But he has back-up, two pairs of glasses - regular, no big BC frames!
I scanned all the CS pictures on the ship today on FB to see if I could see any of our culinary specialists, we have quite a few here, but I didn't see anyone, did you?
Also, I was wondering if that birthday party was for Feb instead of Jan, cuz I didn't see mine in that picture. Maybe it was just a small selection of the few January birthday sailors. Probably couldn't fit them all in the pic.

He sounds just like Katie so they really were blind leading the blind LOL
Becky you hang out with Us and you'll know what's happening on the BR we all are very good at communicating with each other and my Katie keeps me pretty informed of what's happening on the ship!!

He's a MM and Fireman I hope someone tells me more than him he's not a big talker. Just this week I thought he was in the fire training but just today he said no his was on ship! I hope you ladies don't think I'm a fibber he and I are always getting our wires crossed.
