I think it all depends on what city's post office you go to. When I mailed this week's, where I live, they didn't grill me about contents and weight. I went to apply for 2 jobs in Conroe today, and stopped by to pick up some boxes. That PO man said, "you have to list every little thing and weigh each item. And if you have more than 4, you have to write it on another piece of paper." I guess I'm not going to ship from my parents house... LOL!

Yeah, my mom said she never heard from my brother in 1967. Her brother was in the Navy during WWII and of course back then, no one heard from them. Now my brother would occasionally send a postcard from some foreign country... TO ME!

Yes they get mail daily.
I mailed 3 boxes to Katie last Tuesday and she called last night and said she already got them and that was her Monday, of course my mail gets to her quicker because I live in CA!!!

So I see Tucker and Robert will be flying together that's good news.

That's neat your guys will be on the same plane!!! Let me tell you for some reason the BR is not very good at having sponsors, when Katie went the girl she had was horrible, she didn't even meet her at the airport which a sponsor is supposed to do. I'll ask Katie for you guys to see if she can find out how to get a hold of a sponsor OK. Enjoy your time left with them!!!

In Class, we have used Sailor's experience in these countries to compare to the ongoing American History class.

In the class, we have had on-board experts visit and talk to the Class on:
--Korea and the Korean War.
--CounterInsurgency.
--Refugees and Asylum.
--WW II Naval War in the Pacific.
--The USS Monitor.
--The Army of Northern Virginia, in the American Civil War.
--Islam.

And I have presented substantial primary sources of speech, documents, literature, poetry, and song. I have tried to give students "their money's worth."
