Talked to Katie last night and they are underway again. My daughter is so darn funny. She's a Huge Disney fan, well last night she says I've been in a Disney mood lately I said ohh she said yup and I've even been singing there songs here in the office, I said what do u mean? she said I have a CD of all of the Disney songs and I've been playing it!!! I said and what do the people u work with say she says they laugh at me but I know they like it too because every so often I catch them singing along with me LOL She's too darn cute!!! So Cheri you'll have to ask Zach how her Disney music is LOL. I asked like what kind of songs she said you know the usual like songs from Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and others!! At least it keeps them in a good mood!!

I spoke with Katie the other night and she was upset, get this ever since she's been there which she has been there a little over a year now, they have been paying her too much COLA (Cost Of Living Allowance) pay and now the navy is telling her she has to pay it back!!! Well it's like around $4000 has this happened to anybody's Sailor??

Is there anyway to get back your history on FB CHAT? I can't remember the answer MOlly exactly, but I did ask about 7th fleet vs USS Blue Ridge and he said there are sailors there who WORK for the ADMIRAL, and they are the 7th fleet sailors. And I forgot the rest.. sorry. But I did tell you I'd ask! LOL

Well, though my son was supposed to be PO 3rd class in August, he gets to be FC3 on Monday he says. But also says he gets the back pay, because it was supposed to take effect in August. Now where is my champagne???
He gave me his A school clothes (I guess they don't fit anymore - big guy-6"4" or so.... lost over 30 pounds in boot camp and A school was right afterwards)
They fit me so I thought I would be a sailor for halloween!!

For those who don't know about the Flat Rate Boxes, these are free at the post office they come in a few different sizes and it don't matter the weight it will only cost the Flat Rate to mail. So pack them as full as you can LOL. A good example is my mom mails Katie a holiday box she uses the big box and fills it totally full of candy for all of the sailors, the box is usually really heavy but it only cost $12.95 to mail!! I think that's what the big box is.

Hi Rozy
Welcome to Our group We are small and growing!! We all try to keep each other informed of what's happening on the ship. If you don't know already the BR has a FB page. In fact Cheri's son Zach is an IT like Katie and they already know each other!!! She & 3 others took him shopping the first day to the ship because they lost his luggage. Eventually we hope all of our Sailors will know each other. Makes it kind of neat.

I will occasionally ask our new friends to this group to please comment on the two discussions, what your sailor does, and how long they've been on the blue ridge. This is because I can't remember what someone told me 2 hours ago!! LOL
So its all in one place, and we can go back and look without having to look through all the pages. Cool!
