DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Linn, my dad is 87 and Like Kathy's FIL who also served in WWII, I guess when you experience something, its hard to shake. Since I love History I bought out 72 tapes from the library they were selling on WWII, the pacific, the victory at sea, everything about it. Then while I was in San Diego, I bought 3 history books about the naval aviation on Coronado island and the Navy in San Diego from the early 1900's on. What was strange - we taught the japanese to fly planes in the early 1900's before WWII. When I bought mazda in 1978, my dad would not speak to me for a year.
Linn, I don't have skype yet, but I just got off FB chat with my sailor. OVer an hour, and I asked 50 questions. He told me to be careful and not post where they were, etc. and then FB froze up my computer. I HATE it when that happens.....he did not mention to me about the quarintine. ????

At the risk of posting too much (!) has anyone seen where Blue-Ridge sometimes has a hyphen in it? Patrick grew up in Chattanooga, close to the mountains, thats one of the first thing he told me - what the ship was named after.

well, they are posted on navy.mil

But just because they are, I suppose that doesn't mean we can post them here because of the Opsec rules. One time I posted something that is on the internet, it got yanked. so even if its on the web, we still might not be able to post it here. I guess. Whats your view?
