Why Kathy, don't you know? They're heading back to pick up my sailor and his cohorts! Just kidding. He has met quite a few others there waiting also. He is in the barracks and sometimes we talk twice a day on FB chat. I am gonna MISS THAT! On the Yokosukabase.com they have the typhoon message, graphics and status, so the typhoon should be there by now. I hope it slows down by landfall. Patrick was with us during our evacuation of Rita, but he wasn't here for Ike. Ike picked up our shed and contents, carried it over a couple of acres and dropped it next to our stallions pasture! I hope they are safe. We don't talk about anything Navy really. Food, clothes, pictures, etc. And they made them take the train during their indoc. So I'm excited he thinks everything is "amazing". Seeing the hundreds and hundreds of pictures of the ship on the Yokosukabase website - its incredible they pick up trash, pass out medicine and coloring books, help with concrete building low income housing, weed-eat, and all the community service work. Not to mention the drills and exercises. The pictures really tell a story. Have any of you found your kids in them? I went to the pictures and under search, typed in the ships name and there are probably 3 or 400 pictures!

Katie said they are only back for 6 days then they are heading out again.
I was wondering the same thing why they didn't just continue.

I know after Korea they will be going back to Yokosuka for a little while. He'll probably catch up with them then.

Leaving tonight early a.m. to take my sailor to Bush Airport. Going to return to San Diego and catch a flight to Japan. He thought he'd be living in the barracks since the ship is in Korea. It is in Korea now isn't it? Kathleen, delete if this violates Opsec in any way.

Hi Kathleen
last time I got an email from Katie was last Saturday, I've sent emails but haven't got anything back from her. I think she said they would be there a month in S Korea. I know they were doing exercises and usually when those are going on they are pretty busy.
