Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks for the help!!!  I really, really appreciate it. I think I am going for a nice set of under armour and some good warm socks and warmers to add to the box. Trying to get it out this coming Monday.

@Budsmom My son has been there since July. Im still not to sure, he does not have alot of room. Warm clothing, wool socks, and gloves. My son signs up for day trips,  alot of hiking. Im also sending basic stuff. the rest will be money or a card to the Nex. I hope this helps some what. :O)

Ok. I'm new! lol  I don't see any really recent posts but if any of you have had kids on the USS Blue Ridge for a while, would you be able to help me figure out what my son may like to get for Christmas?  I have a few things ready, but I know there are probably some specific things they might like to have.

He gave me his dept and div also. Is it USA or USS Blue Ridge and is it only FPO AP?

Can anyone tell me what the address for the USS Blue Ridge is? I am wanting to send something to my son and he gave me USA Blue Ridge (LCC 19) FPO AP 96628-3300. Does this look familiar?

My son is headed to the USS Blue Ridge on Saturday 9/22/12. He was supposed to be there on the 17th. Guess he will get there one way or another. lol Glad to be here.
