For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by Elane on April 3, 2011 at 7:18pm: My sailor has not gotten the one I sent after they left yet.. but he did get one from a friend's Mom...she sent it about the same time I sent mine. Sounds like they will be having one big party when they get them all. I'd say based on the last time out and the record so far of getting mail... is keeping them coming..sooner or later they do get them and THEY do enjoy them!.

Well I have a couple more ready so I will send those out, just to make sure that he will get some at least semi-regularly.

Comment by cheffiona on April 2, 2011 at 8:50pm: Hey guys I have 5 out there and the first one B got after 9 days that I mailed the day after deployment and one a couple off days after that and again another one a couple of days after that and so on so B got the first and the 3rd and the rest have not arrived and then there was the one i sent last week which im sure she will not see for sometime lol They will get them eventually! Just all at once lol

I spoke with his buddy on the Boxer earlier and he said it was about 2 weeks ago that he got my package and was just able to get to the computer last weekend to thank me, So I say what the hey are they torturing the sailors and marines on the Comstock by withholding mail or what?
