2 in the service just finished looking at the pictures they are great. I didn't get to go see my son off, cause he didn't get me the info I needed, but by golly I am sure going to see him return home. Will the FRG Officer from the Boxer let us know about a return date and where we can go to see them return?

Just finished boxing two care packages one for my son and one for a buddy of his on the Boxer. I have to admit this is really fun filling the boxes and talking with all you ladies. Trying to get my son to send me some pictures, but you know how boys are.

We need to remember to keep the safety of our loved ones in mind when we are talking here and other places. Such as specific places or dates.

Yeah, It is,my son has put in his request for chex mix. Beef jerkey is a big one too. But, you I really enjoy buying all that stuff and filling the boxes, I have just sent one box and have just about enough to fill his second box. I will send it next week.

Thanks Cheryl.  I'll have to find someone who has a vacume sealer. I would love to send something homemade rather than the dry package stuff. I bought protein bars, wipes, kleenex, beef jerkey, gum, cookies,  individual packets of gatorade powder. It looks like I could fill two boxes. I'll have to split it up. I know how good it feels when you hear their voices and all is well.

@navyana- no there is no restrictions on sending cigarettes, we send them to my son also. I hope it is a habit my son will break also. He doesn't do it very often, but it is much cheaper for us to send them than for them to buy them out there. Also, you can't send pork products and when it gets warmer chocolate will not be good to send. My son and his friends like homemade cookies. So I make them and vacuum seal them and it keeps them fresh.

@2 in the service.  Can't thank you enough for sharing these photos. They are wonderful.

@Cheryl - we were there for family day also.

Just got back from the post office and buying snacks to send. Does anyone know if there are restrictions with sending cigarettes? He has started to smoke since he's been in the Navy. hope that will change.

2 in the service, thank you for sharing your photos with us. I got to go and see my son for a couple of days in January for family day. However, I live so far away just could not go and see them leave. So thank you!!
