When i spoke to the ombudsman on wednesday she told me what i had to write onthe package and you have to put RANK/DIVISION/DEPT SAILORS NAME Ship name and LSD 45 FPO-AP 96662 1733 and allow 2-4 weeks for packages to get there.
@navynana have no clue how Bridgette got there that quick lol she also had the surgery to do with her teeth and before i got her email i had emailed the ombudsman and i have to their responses are really quick and i even got a message from the dental dept!! Im impressed!
I think i will start sending out a package every few days so that she will get 1 a week at least! Lets hope the marines chef is cooking up some good food in the galley lol trying to compete with the navy one lol When we were inthe galley while the sailors mustered you should have seen the food ontheir plates man they sure do eat a lot lol some of them had at least 6 hard boiled eggs and 2 of those "large" size cereal in a bowl and you add milk they also had at least 2 of those without what was on their plate and some of them went back for me! Nothing like a healthy appetite!
@Elane...thanks so much for the information. Anxious to hear some news from the ship.
@Fiona..Bridgette is always our gal. She's the one that knows how to communicate. How did she get to the computer first??? smart girl.
3 hour ago message from the ship (or whomever is in charge of posting to Facebook) says that they are back online and trying to clear the huge Mail queue. and the emails will be available for them to use after that. So hopefully everyone will start hearing something.
@navynana. Not everyone on the ship is Division 2. my son's address does not include any division just his rate, name then the ship's full name and the FPO, AP and zip The post office on the ship is supposed to sort it. some work areas have people that are suppose to pick up the mail for the area others have them attend mail call when they can.
