ant'smom.....Two years since you have seen him at all??? That's AWFUL. Don't think I could handle that!! I had thought that they weren't even going to be back into Yokosuka until Dec, but I just heard that there may be a "friends and family" day coming up in November, and I'm assuming that wouldn't take place unless they were back in home port??

Thanks for all the updates ladies. I will be resending the emails that I have sent just in case of a delete. Still have not heard from my son. I am with you all, I would rather have more days in Nov than Dec, my son had said something about that. Sherrill and SueS, I have really been missing my son, what I would give just for a couple of hours with him right now. It has been almost 2 yrs. He is my only child also. Just wish I could see him and hug him.

Ginnylynn, that will be wonderful ... enjoy having him close by.

I had an e-mail from the g-daughter this morning. She was trying to decide 10 days at Christmas or 21 in November. Shoot we can have Christmas in November! I'll take the more days.

Yep ladies, I can TOTALLY relate. Kelcie is hoping to be able to be here at home for Christmas for the 1st time since she joined almost 3 1/2 years ago. I'd gladly skip all the commercial presents, just to be able to have her with us. That will be the best gift of all, and something that $ could never buy! She has visited pretty regularly, but it just hasn't happened at Christmas.

hi there everyone! just received an email from my sailor and the computers are now up and running! they were down for all of e-4, e-5, and e-6...that he knows of. ALSO, if you have been emailing your sailor the past 5 days, they were most likely deleted. everyone's inbox has been emptied out. so if you had any important info to pass along, i'd suggest forwarding a copy to them. just wanted to let y'all know. have a great weekend, ladies! :)

Hi all, received a phone call from Kelcie today letting me know that quite a few of the sailors are experiencing trouble accessing their email (she being one of them) so if you normally have regular email contact, and all of a sudden you aren't, your sailor is probably one of the ones having this trouble. All is well aboard the GW however, so nothing to worry about :>)

Thank you so much, ADN, for the information. I feel more secure now about how to address the packages. I am so glad for the moms who have heard from their sailors. Still waiting for that line or two myself. Ant's birthday was on the 1st, don't know if he got his things. Glad Kelley was able to talk to her mom. Just ready to get that one liner email.
