Just got off the phone and skype at the same time with Kelcie from port. Her audio wasn't working, so we were on the computer for the video, and the phone for the audio simultaneously. Sooooooo good to see her. abc WAS in the correct port, so I'm thinking she's a VERY happy camper about now!!

abc....signing off for a couple of hours. Expect my "wake up call" in about 3 hours so that we can skype. Our older daughter gave us a wake up call at 03:30 this morning with a "dog emergency" and I couldn't get back to sleep, so gonna go catch a few zzzzzz's before Kelcie calls. Hope to see one last post from you 'HE'S HERE!!!", then dead silence for the next several days. ENJOY!!!

omg, thanks ladies for all the support. you should ALL be here w. me. every single one of you deserve to be. here's the weird thing. my plane landed about 2 hours ago and i SWEAR i saw the gw (just like you said), a big grey floaty thing in the middle of the water. i hope that was them...hard to miss!

Cheryle....the little turds shouldn't make us have to resort to threats, but hey....if thats what it takes, us Mom's know how to do it better than anyone!!
Oops, kinda duplicate post below, I didn't think the 1st one "took".

Stay put abc....they should be docking VERY soon where you are!! If you can see the harbor, I'd say you should be seeing a BIG gray floaty thing on the horizon any time now!! :>)
katlanta.....Congrats...your son is correct, and EP (early promotable) is a GREAT thing on an eval. The milk dud story is a crack up!! It's probably very true, Irish Spring is a very strong scented soap, and I could definitely see the milk duds taking on that taste....yuk. How funny that he was so "generous" :>)

abc...nope, NOT Vietnam. I'm expecting a skype this evening from the port we talked about. Don't panic just yet. I'm thinking you might be seeing a big gray floaty thing on the horizon any minute now!!

natalie~ i haven't received any msg from you. :( this is the most i can say. the place i am at right now....is not far from vietnam.... but far enough!
Comment by abc815 on August 10, 2010 at 10:50pm
to natalie. there is a big time diff. it's wednesday here, but tues. night for you. so did you mean today? this is why family/friends should be allowed to know these things. i understand the security issues and all, but our sailors miss their friends and family. it should be the one thing they can count on after everything they do. i know a few other gw wives who are on flights out to this port as we speak. so you can imagine, if this thing doesn't pan out, we are all screwed and out of tons of money.
Comment by abc815 on August 10, 2010 at 10:46pm
ok did some research and it wasn't the gw that's in vietnam. omg, ladies. sorry for sounding like a crazy person. i can only sit here and wait. i just got off a 22 hour flight and am all alone here, so i literally almost keeled over.
Comment by abc815 on August 10, 2010 at 10:38pm
yes, i am sitting at the airport right now because my sailor was supposed to be picking me up after they docked. i don't even know what to right now. i am VERY far from home.
