awww, great to hear that things are still going well! this specific exercise will be over soon. :) and to vicky, i'm surprised too that there aren't more members in this group...maybe they don't know about it. i can't even remember how i found it. i am standing by to visit the gw's next port...even though we don't know when/where that will be!

hi ladies! abc15 here. i just want you to know that i check into this site everyday and read what's going on with all the members. i'm just a quiet type who doesn't always have a whole lot to say. :) but i love reading the individual stories and words of comfort! it makes things easier to know there are so many others in the same situation as me. my sailor and i talked a lot during their busan port and now, it's back to emails! he says that the workday seems like any other day, for the most part (he's an elec. engineer). so, it seems like smooth sailing so far. i know that i can't WAIT until this whole ordeal is over and done with. so to all the sailor's wifes/mothers/etc. on here, thanks for your encouraging words!

To all the mothers and fellow wives of GW sailors who prayed on my behalf, thank you sooo very much. I was given an early birthday blessing this morning, my husband Thomas called and I was given a chance to talk to him for 30 minutes. I can't stress how much it meant to me to know that so many women cared enough to do such a thing for a stranger they hardly know. Now I understand why that bond that's formed between military women is so important to have. I never quite comprehended it's importance growing up with my dad/uncles/cousins all in some branch themselves , until I became one of those women myself. God Bless You All! And know that your babies, whether they be children or spouses are in my constant prayers and I hope to be so lucky as to meet some of you Beautiful and Strong women someday soon.

Wow.....I'm impressed. You must have friends in high places. I totally agree. Both N. Korea and China.....my heart pumps peanut butter for them!!

False alarm on the expectency issue LOL, it turns out I'm suffering from anxiety attacks due to the stress of living with my parents and being seperated from my sailor. We got married less than a month before he shipped out and have been incapable of sending/receiving any official documents in order for me to be added as a dependent to acquire a military ID and benefits. I've been prescribed to get away for a few days for a bit of R-n-R, but that sparks difficulty when I have no $ to do that and everyone I know is on vacation halfway across the country. Oh What A Life! hahaha

Any details you can share? Hope they didn't get into any trouble while in Busan. Finally got an email from Kelcie, she said she had a great time and loved the port call. People were nice and the beaches didn't smell like dead fish :>) The food was another story.......they played it safe and ate at Outback Steak House and TGI Fridays. I told her it's to bad they didn't have more time so that they could get more adventurous with the Korean menu.

Hi Masue, they only way they can make calls while on board is via some ship to shore phone banks that are available. I understand that the lines to use them are VERY long, and most of the time the connections are not very good. The only way they can use them is if they have purchased ship to shore phone cards. It is very expensive for them. We have only gotten a couple of calls since they departed Yokosuka. Their cell phones are not accessible while they are out to sea. We were hoping to get a call from Kelcie while they were in port in Busan, but no such luck. She did finally make a very quick contact via facebook late last night.

Rabbitchick....can you fax the command a copy of your marriage license? Would that be proof enough? I would think it would be. Or possibly contact the Red Cross if all else fails.
